Terms of Service

What the service does

BeMadeKnown lets you add video clips — by importing from your camera roll or a connected Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok account — arrange them, and render a single combined video for saving or direct publishing. Rendering happens on-device in the app; we don’t store your video content on our servers.

Your content and accounts

You’re responsible for the clips you add and for having the rights to use, combine, and publish them. When you connect a third-party account to import media or publish a render, you’re acting on your own behalf under that platform’s own terms of service — Meta’s, Google’s, or TikTok’s, depending on the platform. We only take the actions you explicitly trigger in the app (e.g. tapping “Import” or “Publish”); we never post, delete, or modify content on your connected accounts on our own.

Don’t use BeMadeKnown to import, combine, or publish content you don’t have the rights to, or in a way that violates a connected platform’s developer terms or community guidelines.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for anything unlawful, infringing, or fraudulent.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users’ accounts.
• Use automated means to access the service in a way that places excessive load on it.

Listing your video on BeMadeKnown.com

In the app, you can opt in to having a video you’ve already published to your own YouTube channel listed on BeMadeKnown.com, categorized, with a link out to it on your channel. We never host or re-upload your video — it stays on your own channel, and we only link to it.

Submitting a video for listing does not guarantee it will be listed. Acceptance is entirely at our discretion. We review submissions before they appear on the site, and we may decline to list, or remove an existing listing of, any video for any reason, without notice.

To be eligible for listing, a video must:

• Have genuine educational or entertainment value.
• Contain no nudity or sexually explicit content, no excessive or gratuitous profanity, no violent or graphic content, and nothing else we consider objectionable or inappropriate for a general audience.
• Comply with the “Acceptable use” section above.

You can withdraw your opt-in for future renders at any time in the app, and you can ask us to remove an already-listed video by contacting[email protected].

Service ‘as is’

BeMadeKnown is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, and we may change or discontinue features at any time. To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You can stop using the service and disconnect any connected accounts at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
